Episode 6: Calling the Shots
This week we talk to Dr. Paul Offit, co-creator of the rotavirus vaccine. His training in pediatrics and infectious diseases, as well as his childhood experience in a polio ward, led him to become a champion for children. In addition to his prolific writing (he’s the author of 9 books), he’s produced a documentary called Hilleman: A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children. In this episode, he shares about his experiences as a clinician, researcher, and advocate in his work educating the public about the importance of vaccines.
