Episode 6: Calling the Shots

This week we talk to Dr. Paul Offit, co-creator of the rotavirus vaccine. His training in pediatrics and infectious diseases, as well as his childhood experience in a polio ward, led him to become a champion for children. In addition to his prolific writing (he’s the author of 9 books), he’s produced a documentary called Hilleman: A Perilous Quest to Save the World’s Children. In this episode, he shares about his experiences as a clinician, researcher, and advocate in his work educating the public about the importance of vaccines.

Thanks to Katie Magoon and Vidya Viswanathan for conducting this interview, Darlina Liu for producing this episode and making our podcast logo, and the band Night Float, formerly known as Trisomy Rescue, for providing our intro music.
