  • The Robert H. Moser Essay Contest is accepting essay submissions highlighting the life of a physician who has enriched the world of medicine. The winning essay will receive a $4,500 prize and be published in The Pharos by AΩA. More information is available at: http://alphaomegaalpha.org/moser.html
  • The 2019 Conley Art of Medicine Contest is accepting visual artwork submissions from currently-enrolled US medical students (MD and DO), resident physicians, and fellows until 10/25/2019. The winning entry will receive a $5,000 prize and be published in the AMA Journal of Ethics.   • The 2019 Conley Ethics Essay Contest is accepting essay submissions from currently-enrolled US medical students (MD and DO), resident physicians, and fellows until 10/25/2019.   • Alpha Omega Alpha’s The Pharos Poetry Award is seeking poetry entries related to health or medicine from medical students. There will be cash awards of $600 for first place; $350 for second place; and $200 for third place, and winning entries will be published in The Pharos by AΩA. The deadline is January 3, 2020.   • Alpha Omega Alpha’s Helen H. Glaser Student Essay Contest seeks to encourage medical students to write creative narratives or scholarly essays relevant to medicine.   • Hektoen International’s Writing Contest is accepting essays of under 1,600 words on the subject of Blood. The contest honors the achievements of the Red Cross, locally, nationally, and globally. Two prizes will be awarded: $3000 for the winner and $800 for the runner up. The deadline is January 15, 2020.   • The William Osler Medal Essay Contest is seeking unpublished essay submissions on a medical historical topic written by a student enrolled in a school of medicine or osteopathy in the United States or Canada.
